Rusty Pool

I’m more than my usual amount of excited about this one. My blue pools are re-imagined. Brings together lots of different ideas that I’ve been playing with since, oh, the 90s: architecture, chance encounters with materials, reusing old works, dark heavy moody atmosphere, interplay of active messy mark-making and strict careful geometry, use of perspective to create space and use of emphatic painterly interludes to deny space. And the natural vs the built environment, with themes of decay and destruction.
